A Pyramid In Bosnia?

Archaeologists have begun digging for what they think might be a pyramid hidden beneath a hill in Bosnia.
Known as Visocica, the 650m (2,120ft) triangular mound, overlooking Visoko, has long been shrouded in local legend.
The Bosnian archaeologist leading the project says it resembles pyramid sites he has studied in Latin America.
Initial excavations have revealed a narrow entrance to what could be an underground network of tunnels.

The Unheard Music

The Bush Tetras played their own blend of post punk no wave funk. In 1980 they released their first single "Too Many Creeps" backed by "Snakes Crawl" and "You Taste Like The Tropics". It was a big underground hit that had all the indie kids dancing. The following year brought another single, "Things That Go Boom In The Night"/"Das Ah Riot". Later that year the "Rituals" EP was released, produced by The Clash's Topper Headon. Two songs from the EP, "You Can't Be Funky" & "Cowboy's In Africa" show the BT's at their most powerful, danceable punk funk and no wave dance stomp. They disbanded a few years later only to re-group in 1996 to record a new CD "Beauty Lies". They have played a few gigs since then but this year seems to be the year that we see more touring, a new album and they even have a myspace page!.

The Unheard Music

Today's Unheard comes courtesy of Lost Bands Of The New Wave Era. The Cosmopolitans started out in North Carolina as a dance troop called Cosmopolitan Dance Troop, then moved to New York City and mutated into a rock act that integrated some dance/performance mayhem. In this song from 1981 they quote lines from 60's fitness guru Debbie Drake's excellent checklist for keeping your husband happy like "Firm and graceful body", "Be interested in him and the things he does" and "Excess fat(taboo)". Libertine!

The Cult completed their 19 date "Return To Wild Tour last week in NYC.

The show was a perfect mix of hits like "Sanctuary", "Love Removal Machine" & "Fire Woman". They also brought out the more obscure "Wonderland" and non-album track "In The Clouds". The biggest surprise was "Libertine", a song that was left off their last album "Beyond Good and Evil" and has never been performed live before this tour. The band even commented that they wish they had put it on the album.

The track of the first solar eclipse of 2006 began on the east coast of Brazil and ended half a world away at sunset in western Mongolia. In between, the shadow of the Moon crossed the Atlantic Ocean, northern Africa, and central Asia, and so came for a moment to the small Greek island of Kastelorizo in the eastern Aegean. (Source)
